This was the warmest day so far this summer in a wide swath from the lower Kuskokwim valley northeastward into the Interior. The warm air pushed to the Bering Sea coast in most areas though Saint Lawrence Island and the Bering Strait remained chill. An approaching weather front kept the Gulf of Alaska coast and Southcentral cooler.
